In honor of the 300th Anniversary of the Birth of Tsuruga Wakasanojo I, and
Ceremony in honor of Tsuruga Isekichi becoming iemoto of the Bunke branch of the Tsuruga school of shinnai

Time: Doors open 12:30 p.m.
The first part starts at 1 p.m.
The second part starts at around 4 p.m.
The concert will end at around 7 p.m.

The National Theatre is 5 minutes’ walk from the Hanzomon Station on the Hanzomon Line, or 10 minutes’ walk from the Nagatacho Station on the Yurakucho, Hanzomon, and Nanboku lines.
Tickets: 5,000 yen. Each ticket admits one person to both parts 1 and 2.

Tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the performance.
Program: Sanbaso; works by Tsuruga Wakasanojo I, including Wakagi no Adanagusa (Rancho) and Akegarasu Yume Awayuki; works by Tsuruga Wakasanojo XI, other shinnai works, and works in the gidayu and kiyomoto genres
Performers: The star-studded cast includes 2 Living National Treasures in addition to Tsuruga Wakasanojo XI: shinnai shamisen player Shinnai Nakasaburo and gidayu artist Takemoto Komanosuke. Other performers include traditional Japanese dancers and the puppeteers of the Hachioji Kuruma Ningyo troupe.
